I spent a lot of yesterday trying replace Clockify. I’ve found that tracking my time in the past has been an invaluable way to work - it keeps my thoughts clean and my work day honest.
The reason I wanted to replace Clockify is I dont want my data being shipped off to wherever. I finally settled on Klokki - it required a few LittleSnitch rules to block its newrelic and sentry handling at the boundary, but other than that I’m very happy with it. It has a great little app bar timer interface in it:
Which suits the way I work. It also has colour coding for task and task grounds in it, which was something that absolutely revolutionised my Clockify usage.
I’ve been lax with self timing for a long time, but with this new found data-driven lifestyle I’m immediately back into it.
I discovered (monica)[https://github.com/monicahq/monica] today. I’ve added this into my adventures-in-wonderland
project stack, which currently looks like this:
I did my first prowler session at a gym in 4 years and its still as miserable as I remember it. Fuck :(
