Woke up this morning with an email from Vero. There were a list of concerns in it in the name of “transparency”. I’d spent 3 hours with these guys and another 4/5 reading the Shape Up book. I told them to cancel the engagement - after investing close to 10 hours into the interview process for them to still to have doubts means that someone there doesn’t like me. I have a personal time budget with this stuff and theirs is way expired.

I think what has happened is I blew past one of their long standing guys and hes gone on to consolidate power. Its a shame - these guys seemed really cool but hey - blackballing is a thing. Sigh.
