Its Australia day today in relative terms, so my immutablex interview has been rescheduled until Monday. No stress, looking forward to potentially working with these guys. 🤙

I said yesterday that I needed to come back and revisit the takeEnd implementation. I haven’t even looked at it today but obviously my brain was working on it overnight. The imeplementation is basically the same as Pythons enumerate but in reverse. So simple. Now that I have a clear picture of the idea the implementation should be relatively straight forward.

We are heading back to Diablo today for the net 5 weeks. We love that place so have just pushed forward with everything. Can’t wait 🤙. I’m also looking really forward to doing more work and reading with fp made easier… << a few hours later >> I just checked the implementation and I understood it immediately - so blindingly obvious. Either I learned in my sleep or I was tired and the pipes weren’t connecting. Regardless, this is progress and I’m happy. My goal is to finish the remaining few exercises in the beginner chapter today 🤙

Final beginner chapter done, but here are some notes:

• I found the “pass through” lambdas in the recursion stuff (takeEnd in particular) ultra confusing.

• Zip and Unzip were easy 🤙 WHICH WHERE THE FINAL 2 FUNCTIONS

• Its weird having a thorough “working” knowledge of functional programming, but not having a consistent picture in your head. My boy Omar went back to foundational mathematics for med school - so in that vein I’m going back to foundational programming 🤙

I moved back in to Hugo’s place today. He gave me a rundown of what happened at the ceremony. Holy shit was that a shit show 😅
