Boy oh boy, was today a fucking nightmare of a day. Ever since James at Prendi has blown up everyones productivity has absolutely, catastrophically declined. I don’t blame them to be honest. The day after his blowup last week I spoke to him and I think he’s been better ever since, however everyones last memory of him was that blowup and that scar tissue is already there now.

To really put some context to this Miguel basically quit the project. He said that he has overwork burnout. Veronica spoke to him, and he said that the sheer pressure coupled with the complexity of project is doing his head in. Also, since he is on Apple silicon he can’t even get the project to run.

I remember having similar feelings when I joined because I couldn’t get it to run either. I’m going to make sure that over the weekend that I take care of the M1/M2 (arm64v8) instruction set upgrade tasks so he can come back on Monday with a clear head and a working environment.

At least I can bill for this 🤙 - every dollar counts for the boat money.

Spoke with Adam and finally got neovim + treesitter + lsp all working with purescript and its glorious. It was a mixture of not understanding how the fuck LSPs work coupled with a broken build put out the same day I tried to reinstall/rerun it locally. Managed to get it working by doing the same shit that I always do when I fix things - read the error messages rather than blindly and angrily running around.

12 years doing this and still the same shit.

Anyway, it felt really good to start hitting fp made easier again. I will have this book finished in the next 2 weeks, come hell or high water (as long as a girl doesnt ruin my laptop again).

Had epic sugar cravings yesterday. I managed to push through and ignore them and am happy I did. Hunger cravings are a cunt of a thing, but the truth is they are mostly in your head. Skinny-me coming up.
