Oh boy - so I went and saw the boat today, and it is almost exactly what I want. It needs a fair bit of work, but really the bones of something great at there.

The inside has been almost fully gutted. There are a few parts remaining right near the front, but in reality you’d rip all of that shit out and start fresh. I think the rough plan would be something like this:

  • fix the deck to make sure there are no leaks
  • fix the electrical system inside so you know that the bilge pump is working and good to go
  • take a steam cleaner/pressure washer inside the boat and destroy as much mould as possible on a first run.
  • Rip all of the remaining wood and shit out of there.
  • Go through and do a second pressure wash/steam clean

Once you’ve got a clean inside like that to work from I’d think life would be much better.

I’m going to need some shade sails for this boat to really get the sun off me. Shit is crazy.
